Mastodon just released the cover for their upcoming album, The Hunter. I really love it, but I've got a feeling that I might have a thing for bad album covers. What do you think of these? What are your favorite bad album covers?

Puro Instinct

Puro Instinct is the hazy dream-pop project of sisters Piper (vocals) and Skylar (guitar). I saw them open for Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti last year, and have had the songs stuck in my head ever since. Which is pretty amazing considering they only started playing in 2008, when Skylar was just 14 years old.

Get the album, Headbangers In Ecstasy. It's the best thing I've heard so far in 2011.
