Gangrene - the rap duo of The Alchemist & Oh No - have a hallucinatory new video to go with the psychedelic stew of music they've been putting out. They're both better known as producers rather than rappers, but on their Gangrene project they share the rhyming and beat-making duties equally. The result is a druggy, psychedelic mess of a record which is pretty damn enjoyable if you enjoy the brand of stoned bangers that Stones Throw Records specializes in. It's no surprise that Oh No is Madlib's little brother -- and if you enjoyed some of big brother's collaborations like OJ Simpson or Champion Sound, this might be the album for you. The Clams Casino-produced A$AP Rocky track gets a video inspired by elements of Rocky's 5 favorite movies -- Scarface, Belly, Enter The Dragon, The Warriors, and Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. I dig the druggy, laid-back vibe. There's a whole lotta that on LiveLoveA$AP, which is available for free.

Schoolboy Q is a member of the loose rap collective Black Hippy - along with Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul. Keep an eye on those guys. A dude meets some freaks, gets drugged, and freaks out with the freaks all freaking around him. Basically it's the Always Sunny episode where Charlie and Frank take acid with the McPoyle's. You've heard this UMO record already, right? It was one of my favorites last year.

A Place to Bury Strangers, the noisy shoegazing NY trio, have a new EP called Onwards to the Wall coming out on February 7th. Check out the video for the first single, which doesn't assault the senses quite as much as what I'm used to from the band. While you're at it, have a listen to their first two LPs on Spotify.

Fun fact: I once saw A Place to Bury Strangers play in a converted funeral parlor...which is almost a place to bury strangers.
